Give your wheels a style update with the gorgeous APANA woven bicycle basket. Designed in-house by The Basket Room, this unique bike accessory features turquoise and fuchsia patterning against natural grass, and is oblong-shaped.

Load your front basket with picnic treats and a comfy blanket for a lazy day by the river, or use yours for carrying your trainers, kit and bottle to and from the gym. This bicycle basket is roomy enough for your textbooks and stationery, and can be attached to the rear of your bicycle as a chic pannier if preferred. A most versatile storage solution, the APANA can also be fastened to cot rails as pretty nursery storage, and can store toiletries, flannels and towels on a bathroom rail. Each bike basket takes up to three days to weave by hand, and is made from wild veta vera – an indigenous crop also known as Elephant Grass. This grass is harvested, split, hand-rolled and dyed before a skilled weaver from our partner weaving cooperative in Northern Ghana sets to work on it.

Each bike basket is supplied with two dark brown leather straps.

If your basket gets wet, simply leave it to dry naturally and re-shape. When not in use, we recommend storing somewhere completely dry (and damp proof!)
